Kinosaki Hot Spring No.2

There is a small hill in the south of the town. You can go up to the top by cable car. Then you will see a white town covered by snow down below. At hte back of the town, a mouth of river and Japan Sea are also seen. It is also good idea to try Japanese sweets with Japanese tea at the small cafe on the top of the hill. What a peaceful day in winter!

Kinosaki Hot Spring No.1

A Happy New Year! Wish a great year to all the people on earth!
I spent New Year's day at Kinosaki hot spring, which is locateted in the north-west of Kyoto. It faces Japan Sea and has much snow in winter. The feeling having a outdoor hot bath surrounded by snow is great. In spite of national holidays, Kinosaki is very quiet and peaceful. It is good place to take a walk on the snow by a little stream thinking new year's resolutions. Unlike western gaudy new year party, preparing for the coming new year calmly and peacefully in mind is Japanese traditional way to spend New Year Eve and New Year Day. This is as good as western way of party. Would you like to experience Japanese way?
